^spidee^ SG There's this steamboat place at Balestier, close to Mei Zhen Xiang (BBQ pork place). I think the restaurant's name is 'Tian Wai Tian', quite an old place, but the steamboat is very nice! Always got long queue.

BillyBong SG Think the in-thing is Ma1 La4 Huo3 Bo1 now. Haven't tried it yet but will consider those opposite bugis junction. There's 2-3 streets parallel to purvis st that offer a variety of such food. Many are Chinese national run. Steamboat (or 'streamboat') wise, i'd stick to golden mile basement and purvis st for quality.
dragg SG there is one located opposite flextronics, near the bedok fire station. fish head steamboat too. but not expensive.
