I've always been told to ask for forgiveness to whoever that offerings were intended to. I have a tendency to at least touch the offerings when I was very young.

Cheers and warm regards

How? Just say sorry I didn't mean it?

My sis once stepped on prayer material and she got sick, one ailment after another. Finally she guessed it must've been because of the offerings, and she went to a medium who prayed over her and got rid of the 'curse'.

Even though i’m not a Buddhist or Taoist,I’ll apologised to the God for accidently step on the offering.A kind of respect my dad taught me.

Apologise and place back the offerings in their original position if possible..
