Johnny.English SG hwa heng cannot make it lah…the beef always stick in my teeth…there used to be this stall by the singapore river during the earlier days where it uses fresh beef and a dash of salted veggie…true teochew style…now i am only satisfied with this stall at the jln sultan hawker centre (beach rd army market)...opp golden mile complex those thai stalls also server not a bad bowl…the boss of the hock lam beef noodle at purvis st a very yaya fella and his soup darker then kiwi …his bro has a stall at far east sq and both fell out with each other and claim to be the heritant of the original hock lam of the capitol days…i prefer the far east stall because the beef is more tender and he has a very chio daughter who now helps out full time after leaving her banking job
