Since launching its Data Passport service back in July, M1
has been expanding its roster of overseas partners to allow local
customers use their data bundles in even more overseas
destinations. Today, M1 announced that the list of
supported destinations now includes 15 European countries, the most
significant expansion of the service yet.
While the previous Data Passport service cost customers S$10/month
for every country, Europe Data Passport will be launching for a
single monthly subscription of S$50, which will cover all 15
European destinations.
Under the new service, M1 customers will be able to use their data
bundles in popular tourist destinations like France, Germany, and
the UK. In addition, M1 is also expanding the service to Australia,
Philippines, and Thailand, but at S$10/month for every country, the
same rate for all other non-European countries that M1
supports.
M1 is also extending Data Passport to mobile and mobile broadband
plans that were launched from 2012, on top of plans launched in
2014. Customers who exceed their data bundles while overseas will
pay local excess data usage rates of S$10.70/GB.
With this new rollout in place, M1’s Data Passport service now
spans 29 destinations worldwide. For a full list of supported
countries, you can head to M1’s
