Hi all. I'm new to this forum. Just wanted to ask some questions
about the BIS. Basically i have the powertalk 100, the 100min , 500
sms /month one. $25+ one. I have a curve 8520 from starhub
(gift from a friend, brand new). I dont intend to get the BIS data
plan or the 12GB data plan for most iphone users because there's a
contract period for both and I'm going overseas for 4 years in
3 months time and my plan expires in a few weeks so no prob
terminating the number. I intend to rely on wireless only.
1st: Is it possible to use facebook, msn, twitter,
email (not the mobile browser one) via 3rd party apps( those
that bypass RIM servers) like ubertwit, snaptu or GMAIL
mobile without BIS? I read other forums and they said its
possible but need to install via desktop loader. And where do i
download these apps from? Hate the mobile version cos their super
limited in func and cant do a lot of things like tag photos.
2nd. Are there BIS plans by starhub that don't need
contract?
3rd. Do people hack blackberries to enable like the bb app
version of fb, twitter, msn to rely solely on wireless connection
for a fee? Like psp
