iPhone questions (call diverting, dual SIM, jbreaking)

I've the following questions regarding iPhone but not sure if I'm posted in the correct forum since i can't find one for iPhone.

1) For iPhone 3GS, can they be jailbreaked such that when we off the phone or the battery runs out and when we power on it, we dont have to jailbreak again?

2) Is there call divert for iPhone?

3) It there such a thing as 2 SIM card with the same number?

Because I'm still serving in the army and I'm not able to bring in my iphone. Hence I would like to have 2 SIM card, one for my iPhone one for my non-camera phone to avoid the hassle of changing SIM card after I book out everyday. Worst come to worst i have to use call divert. But is there any apps for iPhone like sms divert as well?

i think jail break 1 time will do

singtel have dual sim card function dunno how much u need to pay for the 2 sim card u can just press # and some number then u can switch to the phone u using..

1. Most likely if you turn off your phone, you will have to jailbreak to activate it again. This is called "teathered jailbreak". The only way around this is if you get a 2nd hand or a refurbished iphone 3GS where it was produced before a certain date. Search teathered jailbreak in google to find out more. Also, if you get an iphone now, most likely it already comes with firmware 3.1.3 - those can't be jailbreak'd as for now.

2. You can have two sim cards, but I believe you are charged on a monthly basis for this.

3. Never tried, but call diverting should be available.

*141# then press call button.

The phone that U use to do the above step will be activated to receive calls and SMS.

Pay 30 bucks for the additional SIM card.Monthly 5 bucks.
