Hi,

Anybody know if A & W fastfood restaurant still around in singapore, If yes, where is the location ? Really missed the waffer with ice-cream on top and root beer with vanilla float.

i think no more liao...
i missed their curly fries....
Mac came out with their version of the curly fries but i feel that the curry powder taste quite strong...

yah..i miss their waffles and curly fires and rootbeer float....haiz...
last time clementi got...now i tink no more A&W in S'pore le ba.

they started as full-fledged restaurants here, were later delegated to food court outlets, and were finally annihilated by bigger & more powerful players in the market Laughing

i oso love their waffles and curly fries.. not forgetting their root beers and root beer floats

mcdonalds curly fries sucks.. i dunno.. but i dun like the taste.. it just didnt taste right.

I dun reckon to that, so far on my “business” trip, haven seen them in shopping centres or town areas.

wah I used to remember the first outlet was actually on top of a monsoon canal next to orchid hotel near whitley road.

It used to be a treat for me when my parents brought little kumsiojui there to eat papa burgers Embarassed Mr. Green

really sad the way the restaurant disintergrated.

the restaurant didn't disintegrated, it jus didn't suit most singaporean taste buds, in fact the restaurant is quite popular outside singapore.

Heard frm friends tat there's 1 near their house, mayb have 2 hope over to JB for root bear float and waffer ice-cream once of these days

I went a few times to the one in JB near Jusco last year. Miss the rootbear float and curly fries. Smile

Waffletown at Balmoral Plaza sells waffles though.Sad that A&W has closed down..no more ice-cream floats and milkshakes.

i love A&W root beers and onion rings..
so nowadyas, whenever my wife and I got chance to go to m'sia... wont' miss that.

I lost a milk tooth in a coney dog 12 years ago…when there was an A&W where Longhouse now stands.

Just went across to JB and the A&W restuarant near Jusco is still there. Ask my friend, he tells me there are only 2 A&W restuarants in JB. Can't recall where is the other one he mention though.
