This is very common. Esp famous retail shops like See Seng, Heng
Choon, etc. Many shops at Sim Lim do that, too. Pearl centre, as
well. It's best to check out the prices before you decide which
shop to buy from. A particular shop at Pearl Centre, name "Dr.
Mobile", offers pretty attractive prices for certain models, but
for some not so high demand models, the salesperson there actually
charges alot more, like $100 more than the other shops. I kana once
there, as I was outside when my mobile phone was spoilt, and I
urgently needed a phone. That one lesson there taught me to be cool
and cautious. Also, other than checking out the price, check what
comes with the package, as well. Better to be safe than sorry.
