thanks ah meltz..
wah... a rather good listing leh
CLASS A
Ming Yuan Chun Lor Mee
(amoy street food centre, level 2)
Talking point: best egg gravy, great fried prawn crackers and fish
crackers, best vinegar sauce, fish meat peeled from whole steam
fish; the low point is the lor bak (not succulent enough)
CLASS B1 (worth the trip
there)
Soon Heng Food Delights
(block 6 tangjong pagar road, #02-20)
Talking point: 5 different types of fried stuffs, ingredients more
than the mee!! fried shark meat definitely better than the tiong
bahru's
Fu Jian Xing Fa (block 91
whampoo drive stall 19)
Talking point: best lor bak, some old timers prefer to just order
the mee with the lor bak and non-fried fish meat; some say this is
the second best in singapore!!
Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee
(block 51 old airport road food centre stall 116)
Talking point: plenty of fried battered fish, great gravy except
poor garlic sauce and chilli padi instead of usual big chilli
CLASS B2 (worthwhile to go there
only if you are a lormee fanatic)
Bukit Purmei Lor Mee (bk
109 Bukit Purmei Rd, coffee shop near roundabout, stall 1)
Talking point: good gravy, choice of two types of mee but low point
is that they use cheap char siew and fish cake which adulterate the
dish
Original Tiong Bahru Lor
Mee (blk 155 bukit batok west av 8 st11 stall 324)
Talking point: plenty of ingredients, if you like fried stuffs, you
like this but the fried stuffs seem abit overfried
Chen Mei Shi Lor Mee (stall
#14 tanglin halt food centre bk 48 commonwealth drive)
Talking point: very generous ingredients fried wanton (the best
wanton), fish nuggets; the dark sauce chicken wing compliment the
lor mee taste unlike the shredded duck meat used at the Lorong Ah
Soo Lor Mee
Tong Zhee Lor Mee (stall
#01-100 Golden Mile Food Centre)
Talking point: started with prawn mee but now more famous for its
lor mee, great egg gravy, any time better than the tiong bahru,
include an interesting fried lotus root, but the wanton is too
thick and overfried making it hard
Ang Mo Kio Loh Mee (#99
Chong Boon Food Centre Blk 153 Ave 10)
Talking point: great vege fried dumpling, egg, fish cake, meat
cake, egg gravy. Some said its the best lor mee in AMK, but reason
for the long queue is the fried vege dumplings which is made and
fried on the spot, the meat cake is good also, but theres only one,
so you got to add yourself
