Jurors deliberated for 6 1/2 hours over two days before
sentencing Joshua Mauldin. They also fined him $10,000.
The jury rejected Mauldin’s claims he was insane when he stuffed
his daughter Ana, then 2 months old, in the microwave and convicted
him of felony injury to a child.
