caleb_chiang SG Remember my previous thread stating there is a curve at the SLE which ponding usually occurred during raining??? Damn! Today return home and it was raining... slowed down my vehicle and went passed that curve... There was a vehicle in front of me... and I witnessed the splashing of the water as it passed.... As my vehicle speed was very low and I braked a little, which further reduced my speed... the period of lossing control was minimised. Then when I was conquering the curve... I noticed the vehicle in front was having their brake light... I slow down to a stop only to realise that the vehicle had stopped as well... I checked my mirror for any on coming vehicle on my left, the 2nd lane but to find none. Before I start to inch out of the 1st lane... Another vehicle thrashed me from behind... TMD... In the end, my ride is in the workshop cos that farking car damaged my ride's back axle...
caleb_chiang SG Did that long time ago... maybe lost. Lucky that impact did not make my ride hit the vehicle in front... then drive slowly to the shoulder which the car that hit me followed. When we get down... only then we realised that another car had swerved into the railing at the shoulder side, an accident happened that is far worst than mine... Most probably skidded, hit the car in the 1st lane and swerved into the railings on the 3rd lane. The second car behind which was travelling in front of me had ramped into the vehicle involved in the first accident... Well... I guess LTA should look into that ponding issue...
MidnightK SG along the flyover at bukit timah also.. was raining , then i was going at 70-80km/h on it.. then i hit the water.. the car skidded a little.. can imagine the water hitting the other cars..
caleb_chiang SG There was once I was travelling along CTE and heavy rain... My ride pratically covered by water when I pass... No vision for at least 1.5 secs... Lucky still can see from the sides to prevent hitting other's vehicle...
MidnightK SG heavy rain is the worse.. the brakes won't kick in.. but some drivers also screwed up.. wanna stop then hit left signal and just stopped.. at least hit the hazard light or sth..
ceecookie SG Around that area(in the night somemore),some fella drive over a ponding so fast that the water splash to our windscreen and practically blinded us for 1-2sec b4 the wiper activated.Had to brake for safetly and it was a good action.
