This ramen restaurant is a hit with the office crowds during
lunch break and is usually packed during lunch time 'rush hour'.
Yet the dining feeling is totally different when it opens for
business during evenings. I think you should come and eat at
different times of the day to get what I mean.
The waitresses and waiters over there are using PDAs to take your
orders, making their service more fast and efficient. They briefed
on me about the POS (point-of-sale) system that is developed
specially for restaurant. They will take your orders, hit a 'send'
and out your orders from the POS system to the kitchen printers
through wireless Lan connection.
ooh.. this Japanese ramen restaurant also has a branch @ tiong
bahru plaza on the second level.
I had been to both. Well, I could say that there is a difference in
ambience although using the same food concept. The one at far east
square have an unique setting - it has an warm and welcoming home
'feel' - perfectly suitable for group gatherings, couples,
families, casual and business meetings; while the branch has a Zen
style theme.
Besides their zhao pai cai - which is the fiery hot and spicy
ramen, this Japanese restaurant also serves good side dishes such
as gyoza, age dashi tofu, prawn tempura, wasabi prawn and
sushi/sashimi. Then after your main meal, you can enrich your
fulfilling tummy with a good hot sake or their home-brewed hot
green tea, and savour their special dessert favourites - healthy
juicy fresh fruits ice yogurts to enjoy a wonderful yummy
eXperience.
Their charges are reasonably fair, and their customer service is
deem prompt and friendly enough.
