Had lunch at picnic food court at Scotts today. Ordered the dry
beef ball noodles at $3. Had no problem with the price and the
standard quite okay. The only thing is, when you order "dry" at
this stall, they DO NOT give you a small bowl of soup which is
"customary" when you order any noodles "dry" right? Or so I thought
...
I asked the lady for a small bowl of soup and she replied that we
don't serve with soup. If I want, I have to pay a dollar for a bowl
of soup or order a seperate beef ball or beef/tripe soup. I paid
for a bowl of soup for $1 and it only had tow gay and some kiam
chye.
I smiled at her, paid an extra dollar and said to her that this is
the last time I eat beef noodles at this stall. And yes, I will
tell my friends ... so my friends, now you know. And that is why I
will not have beef noodles at this stall anymore. Heck, I may give
up eating beef noodles altogether ...
