True Christians cannot care about money. Mega Churches (most of
them charasmatics) says that if u do not give, u wil not receive a
100-fold. This is fraudulent and playing on people's greed.
The true chrisian will say that, in this dispensaion of grace,
people who live holy lives face persecution, not material
accumulation. This is confirmed in 1st Timothy very clearly.
Hence if true believers are not facing adverse persecution now,
it is a gift of God's grace, nothing to celebrate about. When we
believe in Christ, we are blessed spiritually. Materially however,
it is up to God to decide.
The true believer's walk is heavenly. The Children of Israel's
walk is earthly. That is why if they turn to God, they receive
material blessings. If they falter, they will receive judgement. In
Christ, heavenly riches await us. Earth means nothing to
us.
In the Christianity context, I absolutely agree with
you.
