spare tires how useful??? given most now are with sports rim

hi all,
would like some advices.

after changing 4 sports rims and new tires, I realize the one in the boot is still the issued one, and also of different dimension.

current is 18 and the one in boot is 17.

so if any puncture, I understand the sport rims are not easily changed.

so is the only option AA?

if so can replace punctured tyres...

Useful IMHO. Spares should maintain similar rolling diameter to your other zhnged rims. That would enable you to roll to the workshop to get the puncture fixed. Note, it’s roll. Better not drive fast with a spare on.
