Threadstarter, please don't be too self-righteous.You can
continue with your Chinese traditions because you can't abandon
your roots just like that.
I said I no longer followed some of the chinese
traditions, not that I stopped following all of
the chinese traditions. Traditions like the worship of deities or
ancestors, and burning paper money to ghosts on hungry ghost
festivals, defy the bible's commandment to worship the Christian
God, I don't follow.
Traditions like Dong Zhi, lunar new year, lantern festival and
dumpling festival, I still follow.
