We should be contented with food and raiment.We should learn to go without our basic needs so that we can sacrifice for God.

I thought God is supposed to save us and very powerful. Then, why we need to sacrifice for God ?

What did threadstarter meant by sacrifice can have many meaning.

I think the notion of sacrifice is pretty board.

For me and the word of God. There is only one sacrifice - Jesus.

The other form of sacrifices which we men will conduct are Worship.

Sacrifice one it's own, is self serving.

Sacrifice as worship is God serving.

Even with that being said, there are many forms of sacrifices from men which are questionable.

The joy of contentment is to live with what you have or not have. It is attitude of the heart.

There is no need to sacrifice to attain contentment. Give instead, don't sacrifice.
