Then u also must buy/rent building. If building too expensive, can ask your church member give u $ buy also can. If not have a campain then u can publicist during service... Then maybe use abit of psycology to make them give u alot also can

No the right word is Not all people are tolerable to other people's belief and opinions. being tolerable or not have nothing to do with religion. religion is often made a sorry excuse for being intolerable though.

Personally, i have no qualms about anyone or any organisation opening a ‘mega’ church. the most important in a church is that it preaches the right teaching following the Word, and obeying God’s commands and instructions, and not for their own purposes. although 310 million dollars is a little over the top, if it’s all spent well so that more members can come and be saved, i’m absolutely fine with that. but if u put an investment here, put an investment there, then its not like a church anymore, more of a business where the main purpose is to earn money. Obviously, that is wrong!

the rich man in this verse does not refer to generally rich people, but to the people who love money more than God*

I honestly feel very sad that there are so many churches diverting away from the true meaning and purpose of christianity, to lead a Christ centered life, and serve him as Master and Lord. I pray and hope that free thinkers and sceptics in Sgforums won’t think that all churches in Singapore are like CHC, as this may divert you all from true Christianity. But i guess that God has a purpose for everyone, and we just have to follow his lead. [:

reason: no work = no money (you still need to be responsible to the needs of your family), no money how to provide for your family's need?

quite a worrying trend that churches making foray into properties business

perhaps they cannot conquer the civic organisations but conquer the economic power, then threaten to cripple the economy if we all dont convert?

Maybe they see real estate as a form of investment?

What the hell are they going to do with those profits then? Shouldn't it be used for its members who have fallen on hard times?

Before they remove, I would like to touch the fountain water again. Suntec City was built based on fengshui not just the fountain. Why would hee kong wants to buy Suntec?

Fengshui is unchristianlike practice to the Christians (in general).

The whole layout of Suntec is due to Fengshui. That's why the place is so luan. Very easy to get lost in the complex.

Not surprised. Mega churches need large spaces mah. Lighthouse got 12k members, CHC got 33k members, other mega churches ???. Maybe they can consider Tampines (mega malls) too.

FCBC can consider megachurch? I thought they belong to the Baptist congregation.
