back to churches preaching on prosperity theory, personally I would not encourage people to attend these churches neither will I stop people to stop going.

Anyway, these prosperity theory churches have negative stuff to say about the mainstream churches.

Actually with the way things go, some in fact a lot of people would think prosperity gospel is the mainstream. In fact, a good half of the main non-Christians I meet/encounter think that way. Which is sad.

I think though it also has to do with how the young adults and younger people are a lot more culturally and religious unaware when it comes to such things.

I thought preaching for people to be rich and people going there to become rich is mostly only limited to chinese religions...

Sorry to say it is not a good witness. NOt what the teaching of christianity intend it to be. Sad!

Chinese religions?

The mega churches are doing it. Please don't confuse this - not the intent of the teaching of Christianity.

He's not wrong actually, think of it, cai shen ye? God of prosperity? Praying for 4D numbers?

And I'm sure these are not the only religions or cultures where those practicing it or claim to be practicing it sell the idea that it is about being rewarded financially or materially.

Or like witch doctors who promise winning streak for football teams or other professional atheletes.

The difference though lies in the structure.

I'm glad you see it that way. Thank you very much.

Just basing on the teaching in christianity. Well , i believe in whatever religion we go for , it is important to practise the right stuff as taught by the religions rather than to .. . .. ..

Chinese religion or culture?

Does Buddhism, Taoist, Confucianism teaches you to be rich, pray to God of prosperity, for 4D etc?

It would be saying Christianity teaches her followers to donate 10% of your income and be rewarded with a larger sum later on.

Praying to Cai Sheng Ye is very much out of one own's will nothing to do with religion.

There is no ambiguity in praying to cai shen ye

But there is in prosperity gospel in Christianity

Go figure

What's wrong with giving 10% of income to church? Is it always about greater reward in the future like you think?

There are many young church members who haven't start working yet and therefore don't tithe.

There are those who tithed because they believe that their lives have been a blessing. So it's time to pay it forward.

If their income starts to fall after tithing, the church would have collected less. So far, this has not been the case.

Yes, Isn't it? Just that somebody thinks it is...

Are you claiming that Christianity teaches that? Or you failed to understand English?

Tithing is written in the bible in the book of malachi (sorry did not get the wrong spelling, christian please provide correct spelling)

To me, idol worshipping is part of the chinese religions. There are Chinese who pray to god for fortune, monkey god and Pi Xiu.

Is the book of Malachi the Old Testament ?

Chinese religions are a mixture of religion and culture so I don't think Buddhism, Taoism or Confucianism in strictly religious terms teach you to be rich, pray to god of prosperity, pray for 4D numbers.

The book of Malachi:

The last of the twelve minor prophets (canonically), the final book of the Hebrew Bible in Christian, but not Jewish tradition.

Information about Tithing:

Due to the fact that the New Testament explicitly directs Christians to give voluntarily as each person has determined in their hearts (2 Corinthians 9:7) and condemns those who make a show of their donations to organized religion (Mark 12:41-44, Matt. 6:3), the arguments for tithing as a Biblical practice seem to violate the basic principles of Biblical interpretation used by most conservative Protestants.

Tithing is also practised in Islam and Sikhism:

history has it that charities and religions always have corruption involve in them. And this fact will not change even in a 100 yrs time.

So, where is the benefit of the doubt ? Why the extreme skepticsm ? Just because some does it , doesnt mean ALL did it.

Somehow i dont see anyone talking about the good ... only the bad.

I guess, its human nature.
