tithing is a teaching from the book of malachi...so its found in the bible...the onli diff is tat not all churches emphasise this teaching...however, emphasising on it is not wrong of cuz...is there over-emphasis on this teaching? tats subjective and up to individual interpretation...

is tithing a must at chc ? i have a relative who gives to chc but cannot afford to support his mother ? his mother complained to me because she said she pity her son who is the only bread winner at home but instead her son gives to church and does not support her.

thus, i really hope chc puts their money to good use. there are many of his followers forgo to support their parents just to give to chc.

besides tithing, they also collect money during the service.

tithing is not a must but strongly encouraged although there may be some who feel chc teaches it as if it was a must...it is recorded in the bible...the giving every wk is called offering which is also recorded in the scriptures...

so with the much bigger church, there'll be 12,000 goons instead of 6,000 that mindlessly sustain the high life of the pastor then........................and the joker can collect rent from the shops and restaurants................and he might sell the whole damn thing for a big profit..................

END OF THE DAY...............all about MONEY..........if you have no money, the pastor is never free to see you..............much less to hear your problems................

Christianity is not all about money. It is some christians that make it to be.

Remember when I was a christian I did not give tithes because at that time I was having financial problem. My friend told me that I did not give money (tithes) that was why God is not blessing me. To me according to the teaching and bible, God did not state that by not giving money God will not bless.

Many times, it is some Christians who create false impression.

I believe you should be preaching that to your brothers in the West who are calling for the eradication of Islam and Muslims. Not that I'm supporting any sides in this stupid conflict.

There are many churches in Singapore. Everyone is free to go any church he or she wants. For me if I want go church for serious business, I will not go mega churches.

I did not read that you force people going to mega churches. Since we are talking about mega churches, I am stating my point that not necessary for people to attend mega churches there are other churches in singapore for people to choose to attend.
