Apology is no enough! He should be jailed!
Can I slap your face and then apologize
to you! Will you accept it???????
Any arrest is unlikely. The ISD's main objective is to maintain
the peace in Singapore, jailing a prominent pastor of a megachurch
for making insensitive comments about Buddhism will cause more
problems then it solves. Unless the pastor was openly calling for
riots or attacks on Buddhism, then that is a different story.
Instead they are doing the smart thing. By allowing the
religious community to work this issue out in a peaceful way and
extend understanding and forgiveness they are fostering inter-faith
communication, which serves the purposes of the ISD and Singaporean
community in general.
So all I can say is, you can scream all you want and bray for
blood... but it ain't going to happen... not in this case at
least.
