Show me the true Christianity!

True Christianity will yet inundate the world like the ocean at floodtide; it will overwhelm, submerge and regenerate mankind. No manufactured barrier of war...

Wrong, because we atheists and irreligionists are against God and religion. We know that there are no miracles and by scientific logic, there can never be God.

Heh i know that by scientific logic that is no Christian/Muslim/Taoist/Hindu God. History certainly shows no evidence of any loving and caring God, or even an higher intelligence based on limited human imagination.

but no God? That would be a little arrogant for my tastes.

Haters...there will always be islam-haters wherever we turn..it's just sad coz most of these haters are just blinded. How can you hate something you do not understand? To listen to one side of the story without finding out the other side is just plain prejudice.

Anyway, i do not hate them...just pity really coz God create us to be the rulers of the world by giving us brains to think but some just forgot to make use of this gift.

I've read Bhuzir Bhutto's memoir, i'm quite surprised to find Islam actually a more moderate religion in teaching compared to Christianity. Pretty accepting of different religions and beliefs.

Quite a pity that such teachings are abused so badly by Man.

Some men turn religion into a political weapon. We have 'Muslim' terrorists who led blind followers by the word jihad. We have other extrimists from other religions as well. But Islam is the focus of more attention due to its large population and its fast growing numbers. When we mention Islam, we think of Arabs; barbarians. But when we mention Buddishm etc, we think of holy men. Get what i mean?

Part of it has to do with biased media reporting and brain-washing since young by the West.

Meh hard to admit it, but you're right.

We come from the Isaac line, you come from the Ishmael line? Is that wat is says in the Koran?

Yup. We are descendants of Prophet Abraham p.b.u.h. and all the way to the 1st man, Prophet Adam p.b.u.h. The fact is we believe in the same God as taught by Abraham. Though Christianity has elevated Jesus to be God but Muslims believed he is one of hte mightiest Prophets of God.

That's agnostic theory.

hamidisaidi SG

In fact, Jesus (or Isa in Arabic) p.b.u.h. is held in such a high regard in Islam that we have a whole chapter about his miraculous birth. We believed he cures lepers by the will of God, raise the dead by the will of God etc. We believed God raise him up to Heaven before he was crucified and put in his place the man who betrayed him (and make it to look like Jesus). We believed Jesus will return one day to rule the world as God wants it to be.

Please explain to me about Prophet Ibrahim being the forefather to the Chinese race. Chinese do not believe in the laws as taught by Ibrahim but Chinese are the descendants of the Dragon.

hamidisaidi SG

That's agnostic theory.

Everything in this universe is created perfectly with their own specific function and purpose. Does it happen by chance? Evolution? That's is crap theory coz till now sicentists cannot prove it. Things don't happen by chance. There must be a Creator. Think! We are given brains to think...look around you and ponder the things you see, smell, hear, taste.

Abraham is not the forefather of the Chinese race. Different races traces their roots from different forefathers. When Abraham was born, There are already Chinese and China. You do know that there are millions of Muslims in China right?

I do not know of this 'descendant of the Dragon' but i believe it is more of a culture things coz Chinese generally places most focus on praying to their ancestors than God.

???龙的传人：descendants of the dragon. It is not a culture thing but a social-religious thing.

IC....my bad. anyway, thats one of the beauties of God's plan..to have different cultures and races in this world so that we can learn from one another.

I heard the bible is born because everyone around the world wrote it. And is exactly the same. Izzit real or just bullshits??

Pretty much bullshit.

I'm not too familar with other religions and cultures. But one important difference between the oldest Chinese religion (Taoism) with the Christian/Islam/Judaism is that there's no representation for the ultimate evil and the ultimate good.

Both are the same thing in Taoism, symbolized by the Yin and the Yang. Both must co exist in order for the system(Nature, social order) to function properly. Deities and Emperors are only the caretakers for the system, and could not alter or control how the system works.

Under Taoism, humans are part of the system but under Christianity/Islam/Judaism it is believed God created humans to dominate Nature.

While Taoism as a religion is waning in influence, Taoism as a personal philosophy is quite dominant in the Chinese culture.

this is the uniqueness of the bible. there were over 40 authors who wrote the scriptures in the bible. they came from different walks of life. there were prophets, kings to fishermen. and not only that, they also came from different era spanning more 1500 years. yet every book in the bible is consistent. because all scriptures are inspired by God.

the only way to verify and confirm a scripture is indeed word of God isthat it should be free from errors and inconsistenciesthis is the uniqueness of the bible. there were over 40 authors who wrote the scriptures in the bible. they came from different walks of life. there were prophets, kings to fishermen. and not only that, they also came from different era spanning more 1500 years. yet every book in the bible is consistent. because all scriptures are inspired by God.

I can write a book now referring to the Bible as my guide, change a few things inside and call it the Ultimate Testament. I bet people will still take it as word of God.

I am not saying that Christians follow blindly their Bible but just to use our common sense (given by god) to analyse. there are good things in the Bible for men to follow but i am sorry to say that if you asked me, i believed in the Injil, the original Bible given to Jesus and not the Bibles we have now written years after Jesus 'died' by people who are not only not his disciples but not even born in his time. Thus i cannot take 100% everything the Bible said as God's word.

xalkyrie SG

the people who are looking for contradictions in the bible may say " the bible is full of mistakes!" they reject it completely as being unreliable. however those who trust God have no problem harmonizing the whole bible.

The godly base their confidence on two truths: 1) “all Scripture is given by inspiration of God” (2 Timothy 3:16); and 2) an elementary rule of Scripture is that God has deliberately included seeming contradictions in His Word to “snare” the proud. He has “hidden” things from the “wise and prudent” and “revealed them to babes” (Luke 10:21), purposely choosing foolish things to confound the wise (1 Corinthians 1:27).
