I'm curious, the bible is like ancient, and over thousands of
years of translating, copying, mass producing etc..
Who can be sure that what you're reading today in the bible is
exactly what it is suppose to mean. I mean, even a word difference
can change the entire meaning of the text.
My interpretation of religion is that, ancient people who had
little knowledge of science made up religions and beliefs in order
to create a false sense of hope even in the most hopeless of
situations. In the past, and i'm talking about many thousands of
years, basic survival was part and parcel of everyday
life.
And of course, history has always been written by the strong and
poweful, the victors. Who knows if the current religions preached
are like what they say. There might have been major changes along
the way, but have been covered up. People have been known to
politicise religion and manipulate their followers for their own
goals.
But whatever religion it is, i'm okay with it as long as it
teaches the good things
