i can't speak for the rest of the branches but i know the HQ at
balastier rd is pretty gd. I have eaten there since i was in
primary sch. I know the old "grannies" who still work there.
They used to serve me, now they seldom serve; they do the washing
and cleaning up, replaced by the younger malaysians. Still the
service is reasonable.
I admit the portion per bowl of rice has gone down but the chicken
is still plump and juicy. Their you2 cai4 and gizzards are as good
as ever, portion has not changed.
I do know that if you eat after 930pm, the half chicken cost $2/-
more than the usual price. Besides that, of course the rational
thing is not to stick to a single brand name.
Try other chicken rice brands which are good like Kampung chicken
(chicken house along thomson rd near thomson plaza), wee nam kee
opposite novena church etc
