MASS...defination is as stated by sacred congregation of rites
of roman catholic church..it is a sacrifice in which the sacrifice
of the cross is perpetuated.memorial of death n resurrection of
Jesus Christ.the whole drink my blood and eat my flesh thingy as in
the last supper.it is how the RCC way of doing of what they
understand of the last supper.
so did the man himself instruct his diciples to have a rite to
renew his sacrifice?
the catholic encyclopedia states the church intends the mass to
be regarded as the true n proper sacrifice.however,the cheif source
of the RCC is still tradition.
Jesus said do this as a memorial to me, as a rememberance to
me.however JC did not say what he did at the last supper was a
sacrifice of himself or that his disciples were to renew his
sacrifice.

so does the saying of Mass bring relief to souls in
purgatory?
as all will know,purgatory is never found in the bible nor is
that idea being taught explictly in the bible(not church).the
fathers make many references to the existence of purgatory but also
the fact that the faithful departed ones can be helped by prayers
of the living,especially by the sacrifice of the mass..
