Help from Christian friends living near Holland Road

Hi,

I am a new convert and had a hard time reading the words of God. (Although I had rushed through the whole bible one time but lost all discipline now to keep reading the bible - and I know there are so many things that I do not understand in the bible)

Hoping to find some kind Christian who is living near Holland Road to help me cultivate the good habit of reading God's words...

I do not know of any of my church members living within walking distance from my home thus cannot approach them...

I am thinking of meeting everyday from 10pm - 11 pm (as I am working and might need to do OverTime) to study the bible together... That is why I am looking for Christian living near my home. (Can be simply each of us reading our bible and without any discussion. Just to keep each other accountable for reading God's words)

If you are attending a church, perhaps you can try joining the cell group. In that case, you can do bible study and have fellowship together with the friends from church.

As for reading the bible everyday, you can always buy "Everyday with Jesus". It's pretty good little booklet to read....

hi TS, IMO, i think it is best to cultivate the bible reading on your own and when u attend church,ask them what u do not understand that u came across..do not rush thru the bible.before u read,say a lil prayer to ask God to grant u his holy spirit that u will be able to take in accurate knowledge of God and to prevent demons from trying to corrupt your mind on the bible.im sure God will be most willingly to satisfy this need of yours.
