Laughing this is hilarious.

Merry Meet Davidche,

Oh my bad, my bad if i don't know him. I hope you are not being dogmatic & narrow-minded now? Assumption is roots of all evil. It is by universal misunderstanding that all agree. For if, by ill luck, people understood each other, they would never agree. Sarcasm is the language of the devil, for which reason I have long since as good as renounced it, Perhaps having an open mind is inadequate to having an open heart. Thanks again.

hey kid, you got my name wrong.

oceanos is not a Christian, open minded or otherwise.

I do not adorn myself with crosses or crucifixes.... they are useless artifacts. They neither have the power to protect me or empower me with supernatural powers.

If you do not have Christ is your heart, all these are useless.
If you have Christ in your heart, you do not need anything else.

OCEANOS SG

Merry Meet Chin Eng,

I am indeed amused & surprised by his replies quoting your name. Precisely, A Cross or whatever is useless without Faith. Do not be a preaching Christian if you are not a Christian in your heart & action. Disillusion comes only to the illusioned. One cannot be disillusioned of what one never put faith in. Thanks again.

Blessed Be,
Oceanos

Pope Nicholas SG

Tell to that exorcist.

If items of Christ is useless, why are u so afriad of items of Satan??? Unless Satan more powerful than christ is it???

Hold fast to your sacraments. The power of Satan is great....far greater than the power of your mortal bravery.

laurence82 SG

I am thinking of that voodoo dolls topic

Confused

Chin Eng SG

Why am I afraid of items of Satan? Don't be daft, where in this thread (or anywhere else) did you read this?

I don't believe that there are items of Satan, and I don't believe that there are items of Christ.

I believe in the power of prayer, and the power of faith. Just my personal POV.

ghimpheng SG

the power of evil should not be underestimated

only christ / god will not fear the power of evil

but we humans do fear the power of evil but what we fear most is the power of god

so wearing or owning anything satanic / evil is not good for you that for sure

Pope Nicholas SG

No problem with that.

But dont Scripture preach that relics of the Apostle's like Pauk's hankerchief or Peter's shadow or even in OT, Elisha bones posseses miracoulous properties??? So why wouldnt there be items of Christ???

Icemoon SG

which verse ah? Don't remember liao.

Icemoon SG

I have a general question.

Will atheists ever get possessed? Laughing

Pope Nicholas SG

2 Kings 13:20-21

20
Elisha died and was buried. At the time, bands of Moabites used to raid the land each year.
21
Once some people were burying a man, when suddenly they spied such a raiding band. So they cast the dead man into the grave of Elisha, and everyone went off. But when the man came in contact with the bones of Elisha, he came back to life and rose to his feet.

Icemoon SG

wah .. so powerful.

You go and find his bones .. see can resurrect people or not?

Pope Nicholas SG

Haha maybe we should go find his bones haha.

As leaned towards judaism, do u hold the OT at higher regard???

Icemoon SG

It is the whole package.

Because Christianity has both OT and NT .. it is unfair to say I hold OT in higher regard.

The NT seems to bastardize the OT in many places. If you have time, go and do some research. It is really disheartening.

Disheartening because I once hold the NT in higher regard.

Pope Nicholas SG

Reallie? How so???

Icemoon SG

That's why I asked you to do some research.

Instead of finding evidence to counter the Protestants in debates, why not spend time thinking about the more important questions - like why the Jews don't buy Christianity. (edit: as opposed to why Protestants don't buy Catholicism)

Pope Nicholas SG

IMO i prefer the Islamic claims to the Jewish ones. At least Christ is protrayed as the Messiah and most beloved Messenger of God who came with the Gospels (which the Church corrupted). Had a virgin birth and did not die but rather was ascended to heaven etc etc.

Maybe its the perfect hybrid of catholicism and judaism.

Icemoon SG

easy excuse to say everyone else's bible is corrupted except yours.

then mix and match the best from its predecessors.

remember the church fathers are the best at playing mix and match. They are against the adoptionists and yet they are against the docetists also.

With regards to the all important question - whether Jesus is god or man - the church fathers say, "He is both". Laughing
