gasband SG seriously? ignore them. In real life, have you ever been mocked or outcast in front of a big group just because you are a christian? I have. Just take it graciously and one day they will realise what love is. Some have.
SumOne SG Actually, it may not help. Because they'll view your acts of love with extreme mistrust. As seen in their posts about the Christmas invitations. Merely simple christmas invitations but they start making all sorts of mockery about the intentions of such invitations.
gasband SG there are many common awkward situations you will find yourself in. small things like when you say grace and your frens take away your food and when you open your eyes and they just laff at you and say things like " see, pray somemore lah, pray until nothing to eat". I also have a fren who says "I am GOD" and whenever he sees me praying, he will just keep taunting me, "dun be stupid, dun keep praying to me leh" These are just some small awkward situations you will go thru, but hey the bible did say these things do happen, dun they?

gasband SG but your role as a believer is just to invite them. They mock, they laugh or insult you, you have done your part. "Success in evangelism or witnessing is simply taking the initiative to share and leaving the results to God."
gasband SG have not encountered that haha but my own mum took my bible and burned it in those big containers which they burn incense paper and chase me out of the house haha. But that was then, now my parents are so much more open to listen to me about Jesus.
gasband SG yeah up till now. not only in my house. in my entire family, including my uncles, aunties, cousins etc...i am the only christian.
SumOne SG I don't know, maybe it's just a different perspective. They're not accepting is one thing, but to so greatly twist the intentions of people is just not fair. But I see your point.

gasband SG you talking about me? mockery of christians and christianity are not for just young people. If anything, the older folks take it a a new level. WHen you are working your ass off and depending on yourself to make a living, and here I am a christian thanking God for food, they get real curious and frustrated even that why am I thanking God and not my employer, my bosses or whoever... and they will just scold you things not just for fun, as with some of the remarks here, but they meant malice.
