A Touch of Christmas
Many of us remember with fondness the Christmas presents that weve
received in our lives, from friends; from family; from that special
someone. What matters most each time is not how much the present is
worth nor if it was what was expected, but the knowledge that we
are loved, that someone cares. Its a special feeling, the warmth
of a human touch.
Thats the motivation behind A Touch of Christmas, to reach out to
the disadvantaged children in Singapore. Whether they are afflicted
with chronic and debilitating illnesses; are staying in homes and
orphanages; or suffering in poverty, these children need to know
that they are loved.
Share in the joy of giving: take an ordinary box, wrap it up and
pack it full of toys and books and clothes and other presents that
you can think of. Then write a short note or message to the child
and what you have in your hands, is a wonderful gift to a child who
needs just that: joy, hope and love.
