something for you to take to heart.

Romans 8:38-39
38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[m] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I guess I am more depressed than you. My test/exam result has been dropping. Friends are talking behind me. Bad quarrel with my mother. Bad relationship with my father. I just lost the ‘Top in level’ position for a particular subject to someone else. Everything seem empty to me now. When in class, i envy those couples. When at home, I could only face the piles of homework and assessment books. All my life, in prime stage, has been a slave for homeworks/tests/exams. I feel like I am nobody. I feel like dying but I told myself to be strong. I am exhausted, physically and mentally.

When I look into Your holiness
When I gaze into Your loveliness
When all things that surround become shadows
In the light of You

When I've found the joy of reaching Your heart
When my will become enthroned in Your love
When all things that suround become shadows
In the light of You

I worship You I worship You
The reason I live is to worship You

Basically, i know that i shld live my life for God but, i i shld tire my self the whole day with my heart beat pumping like mad b4 a presentation to the judges just for cca points

so, u live a life for God, does this have got to do with achiving some bloody cca points??? I have really tired my self for the competition and not only that, i miss lessons becos of this comp...and important tests too.

klydeer SG

God dont need you to live FOR Him. God wants you to live WITH Him.
Living a life with God, is also about prioritising what is important according to God's teachings through His Words.

At this point in time, which is more important ? Your exams or CCA ? How is the Lord speaking to you on this ? Have you been praying to Him and asking for His help ?

M©+square SG

There's nothing spiritual about this issue.

You just need Proper Prioritizing and Time management.

But if you need to go through it with prayer, nothing wrong also.

i read liao think your reply a bit funny.

Icemoon SG

yah lor .. if too busy just skip church .. nothing wrong also.

All the church and cell group activities can become a burden.

klydeer SG

How about living with God ? Do you know what is the difference ?
No problems, if you think am wrong, am wrong to you. Wink

If you proclaim that exams are more important and that the CCA is affecting your studies, then should you not talk to your teacher about it ? I am sure your teahcer in charge of the CCA will appreciate you for taking this up with him/her, rather than seeking self-pity.

M©+square SG

He's not wrong, you're not wrong also.

You two are looking at different angle of Christian living.
These are personal experiences and conviction which each will bear as people encounter God differently.

klydeer SG

ok. i do have my doubts in an earlier post about living for God - with the example of striving so hard "for Him" in CCA. Saw "Danger !" in my mind, thats all.

Hi David.

"Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines....
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deers feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills." Habakkuk 3:17-19

God bless you.
