Are Catholics suppose to be evangelistic?

shade343 SG

If they are not, how do they get more people to join their church or spread the good news??

laoda99 SG

message of love and peace....

in fact, many catholics are very good pple....

laurence82 SG

yes, thru their actions

i am sure they dont just preach and not practise

By the way, some personal observation

I find a lot of Catholics tend to very knowledgeable about happenings in the world, have better command of English than normal, would participate in a lot of social gatherings/ community events or charity works

shade343 SG

I asked this because I noticed that its usually the christians who go about standing at public places distributing flyers asking people to join their church. I dont see catholics doing that.

rosh29 SG

If you beleive that those who don't follow your own faith are going to hell and need to save them from that plight ... I think you are being misled not them.

These evangelists are creating a lot of religious conflict in Asia .. they should be banned from peddling their ignorance in public places in Singapore.

Icemoon SG

And they are more concerned with ethical issues like abortion, bio-genetic? etc.

They don't waste time debating age of the earth. Laughing

Icemoon SG

This is unsubstantiated.

Religious conflicts happen because of other reasons. You'd be hard pressed to cite an incident that happened because of such ignorance.

laurence82 SG

Yah true

Age of the earth? Interestingly, I didnt know till I read DVC and checked up on it

RC has this

Icemoon SG

This is unbiblical. Christians are supposed to spread the gospel, not asking people to join their church.

Icemoon SG

I think the place mentioned in DVC.

vince69 SG

wonder are these flyers an invitation to join their church or join an event organised by their church?

Icemoon SG

But now with church quota to meet .. it is a different story. Laughing

M©+square SG

which church?

laurence82 SG

So, if an Anglican ask me to believe in christ, i can go and join the Prebysterian?

Icemoon SG

those whose followers keep on pestering you to go to church.

M©+square SG

Yah lah. That's why i ask you which church lor.

Icemoon SG

biblically yes. but you will hurt his or her pride. Laughing

Icemoon SG

From my experience, chc. They are the worst. Even FCBC or NCC people never pester me. I even have to invite myself to their services or bible studies.

laoda99 SG

can!!!!!

M©+square SG

Ok, so clock only one church have quota.
