Why was Jesus scratching on the ground when they brought the woman
to Him to ask if they could stone her?
I'm sure He had He's reasons.
Ok, maybe this is something we'r gonna have to concede as a
'mystery of faith'
You are referring to this verse:
John 18:38 Pilate said to Him, "What is truth?" And when he had
said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, "I find
no fault in Him at all"
i don't have any idea why he did not answer. Maybe it was because
Pilate did not want to know the anwer. Christ Knew it. Can you get
the feeling of it reading the verse?
"What is truth? " And
when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to
them, "I find no fault in Him
"And when he had said this [question], he went out again to the
Jews, and said to them, "I find no fault in Him at all."
observe how did John interpreted Pilates question. "And when he has
SAID this....."
It seemed like it was not a question on Pilate's part it was more
like a statement.
Actually the Truth was standing before him.
My two cents Very Happy
So by not anwering pilate, Jesus is doing him a great
favour
I sort of see what your trying to say:
i)Pilate in his heart knew the answer, but he did not want Jesus to
say it?
ii)Because if Christ said, Pilate would feel more guilty for doing
what he did?
iii)Pilate answered for Jesus, right?
Thank you everyone for your replies, even dragg
Though, it would be broken Armenic
