your definition of Grace.. very chiam... the version I have is simply this.
Grace = unearned, unmerited favor.
If need to earn one or merited one, then its called reward not grace.

Tradition of men, basically man made practices.

personally, when one believe that not everything is written in the Bible, this is dangerous cause this means its open to all sort of additionsto it, as people can claim extra biblical revelations simply claiming the Bible is not complete (which is any sense, not true, the Bible is completed)

on the Orthodox, I thought they also claim apostlic lineage back to the early apostles (not sure which one, still trying to find out Embarassed )

anyway, personally we should also look at the similarities so as to get a balanced view.

ya... all come from the same root. It's just that with the Church growing too large, separation is inevitable. I see it like the Chinese in China, who have broken into so many different dialect group, each holding a different custom though all celebrating the same festivals.

Catholics, Protestants and Orthodox are separated brothers who profess the same Christian faith.
