ok, just a short one,
not celebrating christmas also does not means he was never born as a man (no link), just like not celebrating my birthday does not means I am not born or I does not exist.

thats y i use the word "celebrate"..not the same celebration term we know..cuz i dunno how to describe it..

sure god didn't ask us to "celebrate" his coming as a man,but isn't that something worthwhile to rejoice for..

for he went on to die for us..i'm not going into good friday or easter dun get me wrong..

but i just feel that for soemthing that he did for us,we should be happy..

i mean being a holy being,he could have so easily came onto earth,but he chose to be born as man and die as man on the cross,and in my opinion.every birth should be a moment to be happy about.. Wink

Your train of argument is flawed. Not celebrating these pagan festivals has got nothing to do with grace at all. A pagan festival is a pagan festival. No matter how you want to try and disguise it.

If you want to take a more liberal view, be my guest. Just ask the question what would God/Jesus want you to do? Seriously.

Then I think the correct word should be thankful, thankful that God sent His Son, Jesus to us, to suffer and die on the cross for us, and rose again, and now seated on the right hand of God as our High priest and mediator before God.
and yes, we should be thankful, and we should do this everyday.

You need festivals to reinforce your faith. In the cynical sense, it is like national education and those propaganda advertisements by the government.

Christmas is a time when children or even adults act out the nativity (sp?) scene in the bible. And a time for Christians to go carolling to non believers. I don't see these actions as being evil.
