God would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you
"For this is like the waters of Noah to Me;
For as I have sworn
That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth,
So have I sworn
That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.
For the mountains shall depart
And the hills be removed,
But My kindness shall not depart from you,
Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,"
Says the LORD, who has mercy on you.
Isaiah 54:9-10
The Covenant with Noah
This covenant was God's promise not to flood the world again
God gave the rainbow as a sign of He won't destroy the world
with a flood again
God even sworn in this covenant He would not be angry with
you, nor rebuke you
God don't have to swear, the word of God are eternal truth;
not subjected to change
He also can't lie
God sworn for our sake, because you may not put your full
trust in trust Him for this
He wants us to have assurance of this
If you believe sometimes He's angry when you sin, it will
affect your relationship with God
The LORD is gracious and full of compassion,
Slow to anger and great in mercy.
Psalm 145:8
