Logically I would have recommended that the good works (ie.
charity) be done through the local church you are attending, but
since you want to do it outside the church context, I would susgest
to you to first decide on which area of ministry is close to your
heart (elder care, children care, ophanage, handicap...etc) then
look for the particular organisation that is in this ministry,
remember to pray about it also, when you find the
ministry/organisation God is leading to, you will feel the peace to
release the funds.
