Raptured SG The tax collectors were collecting more taxes than they were supposed to collect by abusing their authority given by Rome. If you dont pay, they haul you to court then you are in big trouble with govt. So they grew very rich from these ill gotten gains on top of their commissions. Why despise gamblers? These blood suckers were more despicable. Just like loan sharks. Jesus said it bcos He was being tested by politicians trying to trap Him into saying He disobeyed Roman laws & was against the Roman Emperor by revolting. So you are right He was being framed bcos they wanted to get rid of Him.

Repented John 2 SG It's ok CE. John is a very common name also in Jesus' time. Jehohanan in Jewish language. I forgot the translation. Very common name in the streets. That's why a fisherman son called John the son of Zebedee. An ah beng. But maybe not so common in the priestly family of Zechariah. That's why his relatives(prob well to do) refused to name his son John until the angel loosed his tongue & Zechariah spoke giving the prophecy abt his son's name & destiny to prepare the way of the Lord.
Raptured SG Jesus wasnt a political rebel. He obeyed the law of that time. He even paid taxes. He obeyed the temple laws also. He was a law abiding citizen. He was framed in the sense that they accused Him of being a rebel & attempting to create unrest & political insurrection so that they can crucify Him. Bloody murderers!
