Unbelieving loved ones

of course, in xtian speak, we dont believe in christ mah

laoda99 SG

I have read the thread again and I have not seen any christian condemning unbelievers to hell.

I also question the purpose of such thread. It looks like a flame bait.

I think breyton has given the best answers for this thread.

laurence82 SG

anyway, nobody want to answer the hard questions

time for my outing liao

Secondly, contradiction within one post. If this thread is flame bait as you admitted, cant you see the line in which the flame would come?

laurence82 SG

You cannot see or you dont want to see?

dragg SG

there are so many sufferings and deaths, yet you opined that God is compassionate is even more flawed.

hmmm....i tot ur question is abt object permanence which I sure know nuts about.....

I would agree with ironside's views in page 1 for this....haven u read?

All I see in this thread is the flame is coming from non believers while breyton and others are trying their best to answer. And please note that they are only christians, not god.....

laoda99 SG

I still say sufferings and deaths does not mean that God does not exist.

Not just Christianity, but other faiths in the world will agree on this.

God is compassionate as well as just. All of us will be judged accordingly b4 him.

Icemoon SG

Aiyo .. that one is shady not dragg .. Laughing

laoda99 SG

haha sorri.....he look like shady

Icemoon SG

It is a big mistake of Brey to challenge unbelievers to look at the world and [automatically] realize God exists.

On the other hand, I reminded dragg (opps forgot he was a Christian) that Christianity is unlike other religions.

Icemoon SG

no la .. shady is everything also can one.

dragg .. I think he is more discerning .. but I seldom pay attention to him so I can't say much.

laoda99 SG

sometimes i wish u can have a stand icemoon

can't be always half here half there....

hmm...did breyton ask unbelievers to look at the world? If he did, I think it is not a mistake. What is happening around the world are actually signs.

dragg SG

other religion?

like what?

Chin Eng SG

Yeeeah...

Lot of folks who quote the compassionate of God always forget the justice of God.

On the topic: loved ones who do not wish to accept Christ? Their choice - I respect the choices of all individuals, as much as it pains me sometime. I will not and cannot change that choice.

laoda99 SG

like i explained to my bro tat day....he cannot accept that a compassionate god will punish people....

talked to him abt justice of god also....

laoda99 SG

I recommend u Philip Yancey's Disappointment with GOD....it is a good read

Thank you!

Shade,

it is not ego and arrogance, it is a blessed assurance that we will be in Heaven because Christ Himself becomes our righteousness. God accepts us not because of who we are, but because of who Jesus is. Our assurance that we will be in Heaven is based wholly on what Jesus did on the cross and the acceptance of this gift of God's GRACE, not our own works.

breytonhartge SG

If you believe that there is a God, and that God is real and what Jesus did for you is real, then focus on the Word and all that it says, the bible is our truth because it is God's word to us.

I will pray for you bro, that you will be renewed in your spirit and your mind as well.
