Somewhat similar to a previous post, how does God communicate with his believers? Maybe through a dream like Joseph? Or by a vision as claimed by some individuals?

He speaks through the Bible which is interpreted by the Church that Christ established on earth. He has spoken through the prophets, the apostles and even in the people around you.

And in certain situation, it’s also done so through the Holy Spirit or a vision during a prayer.

The thing is, how can a Christian have a relationship with him when he can’t even hear God speak?

some times through songs, through voice…i heard before havent you?

I think you missed the point.
Do you mean when God speaks, a relationship starts or is mantained?

There is certain lack of understanding of God's will and presence.
When you chose to believe in God, did he spake to you that's why you believe?

What made you want to start believing in God?

Like some or other Christians, I believe I came to Christ due to the threat of hell.

SocialOutcast SG

If you believe in Christ just because you fear hell, I don’t think you will enjoy heaven very much either.

There are many ways which God speak to his people. The most common way is to send a messenger to help preach about God's words. Another way is through the help of books written by enlightened souls.

however, the most accurate way to receive God's words, is to link up and listen directly to him.

You mean some christians coerced you into believing Christ? Laughing

fallin SG

No,I was born more or less with a Christian background, something which I'm grateful for. I've never had any Christian evangelise to me, coerce or otherwise.

This is something I have some problem accepting, how can I be sure the message from a sinner mortal like myself be accurate? When I say this, I mean no offense, neither is it flame bait, be gentle please. Somehow in my mind, the modern day pastors seem to be like the teachers of the law in Jesus' day and along with that reputation of their predeccessors. Again, peace, dont flame. LOL.

Pray for the Holy Ghost to help in your understanding.

Also read more la, don't be passive and accept everything your pastor and cell group leader say.

Were you taught that, if you were not a christian you would go to hell?
