They actually got lost during their first exile [Assyrian invasion] 80 years before the southern tribe of Judah was exiled to Babylon. Remember that the nation was split into two [Judah and Israel] when a civil war broke out during Rehoboam's time. Most, if not all, of those who were exiled to Assyria have not returned to Israel.

The ones who returned to their land after their 70-year exile in Babylon were Jews [people of Judah]. No one knows for sure now where these 10 tribes of Israel have been scattered. And no one of Israel could really ascertain as to which tribe they belong since the records [genealogies] were destroyed.

But rest assured that God will regather the ten tribes of Israel [whereever and whoever they may be] again as predicted in many portions of the OT.

who knows that Middle Eastern looking man in Singapore may be one of the 144,000 in REvelations 7. who will be saved during Tribulation Very Happy

oh the question how a tribe can be lost? because God dispersed and scatterd them every portion of the world as punishment.

Sorry, but Jews, people of Judah, Judaism...Jewish = a faith AND a people. One can be one and not the other...

How else can someone who follows the Jewish faith say it, like a Christian can say "I am a Christian," what would this person say "I am ...."?
