actually the word 'gossip' is a neutral word. it's neither bad
nor good.
it depends on what you gossip about. if you gossip secrets or
confidential things about a person or if you gossip things that
will not result unto edification of the hearer then that is
wrong.
but if you gossip good things, things that help or edify then that
is good.
The great expositor of the Bible DAvid Martin Lloyd Jones said that
a more accurate rendering of Acts 8:4 is this:
New King James Version:
Ac 8:4 Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere
preaching the
word.
David Martin Lloyd Jones preferred translation:
Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere GOSSIPPING
the word.
