God Chaser is the modern version of Pursuit Of God. Tommy Tenny
gave a rather emotional narration of seeking after the heart of
God.
I feel that God Chaser is a good read for modern Christians who are
not so interested in Classics
Though Tozer lived till the 80s but this particular book 'The
Pursuit Of God' was labelled as one of christian Classics.
Hmm...all in all.
God Chaser will teach a Christian how to weep, how to seek to
worship at all times.
Pursuit of God will teach you how to seek God with 'all my heart
mind and soul', how to be solely dependant on Him.
Some quotes which Tommy Tenny borrowed from A.W Tozer
"Our pursuit of God is successful just because He is forever
seeking to manifest Himself to us."
Pursuit of God, 65.
"It is not what a man does that determines whether his work is
sacred or secular, it is why he does it. The motive is
everything."
The Pursuit of God, 127
God formed us for His pleasure, and so formed us that we as well as
He can in divine communion enjoy the sweet and mysterious mingling
of kindred personalities. He meant us to see Him and live with Him
and draw our life from His smile.
The Pursuit of God, p. 34.
One hundred worshipers meeting together, each one looking away to
Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly
be were they to become "unity" conscious and turn their eyes away
from God to strive for closer fellowship."
