Misunderstanding between Christians/non-christians

How to avoid misunderstanding between Christians/non-christians? As a Christian, my suggestion for forummers are:

1) For Christians: Avoid giving non-christians the impression that we are too pushy when sharing with them the good news.

2) For Non-Christians: As much as u do not like Christians to be pushy, avoid bringing down the faith of Christians also.

I am sure we can work some form of discussion/dialogue out between Christians/non-christians. This can encourage us to be more open and receptive to each other.

Your line 2 above says it all. Laughing Even if it ain't being pushy, imagine a simple conversation, always slowly diverging towards faith of the religion. Its sickening you know.

wah, why the sudden explosion of threads?

anyway, i dont mind pushy christians, or peeps who cried out 'Hallelujah!' in the middle of a conversation or lessons..(real life story).. Laughing

but, i dont like people condemning other people faiths to justify or push up one's faith

that goes for some peeps in this forums

in the other news, i dont see the need to come in to question every part of point in the christian theology or doctrine

such exercise is pretty tiring....especially to readers as well...

No lah.

There is no misunderstanding. It's a mutual thing. I also have non Christian ppl preaching me their religion, even telling me not to eat meat. They are a lot more pushy than the Christians in their preaching. But too bad, I have to reject them flat.

we had an outing on a friday at marche long time ago

the Bear contemplated pork knuckles with his Guiness

he said if he did that, he is going to finish the whole thing, stand up and have a cardiac arrest

Actually, you can eat meat on Friday, but you have to give up something that you like to do on that day, or you can also do penance.

The main idea is to remember the sacrifice of Jesus, and not so much as to torture yourself. By giving up something we like to do/eat, we remember Him.
