I dun deny the fact that there are maybe as many fakes out there as there are true believers.

I dun think Dumbdumb is making stupid references. He is just talking about his father's friend. Its not what he said. Its what his father's friend said. Unless you are sure his father's friend is telling a lie or a loony, then i dun think you can say its a stupid reference.

Yeah I have no problems with what you think. I am not going to control what you think. Putting down another person by saying he made a stupid reference when he is just quoting another person is hardly a humble act from a humble person. But well, your mouth not mine.

Its already stupid enuff when one explicitly name another belief, thats akin to putting down another religion, especially in this example. Am I the one who start putting down others first?

U dont have to point out that I am not humble or anything. I aint those dandy fake righteous or moralistic people. Its only when someone question my beliefs and attack my interest than I will react. In this case, what dumbdumb trying to prove by putting tang kees and holy spirit in the same equation? If u say he is not attacking other people belief implicitly, i wont bother replyin this thread, coz i will be spending the next half hour ROFLMAO just like i did for many threads in this forums that belittle other religions on the sly. I admire u all for your cunning, if not for your faith to God.

i feel someone who exalts himself would be erm. like, the focus is on him. its like he may heal someone with the power of the Holy Spirit, and he will be like "yea, look at me! i healed someone" while someone who gives a testimony will focus on God. and give God the glory for the healing, i think u can tell from the fruits of the deed. shrugs. i'm pointing out that even non believers acknowledges the power of the Holy Spirit. they really don't touch baptised christians. if you (a christian) go to a tang kee. and tells them u're a christian. they will ask you if you are baptised. if you say you are, they ask you to leave, and say they cannot do anything for you. its true!

well. speak for yourself. you don't know my heart when i said what i said. i did not speak what i say with the purpose of kicking down others. i said it to point out my point. that even non believers acknowledge the existance and power of the Holy Spirit, so its not easy for someone to simply commit the unpardonable sin.

funny how u simply jump into the wrong conclusion yet explain that i did it with the intention of putting others down.

The focus need not be on him as a person or someone else as two separate issues, but his beliefs, his character..basically everything that centres around him..just like "Hey I study in NTU, therefore I am smart". The focus on NTU being a representative of his academic capability.

of course you must focus on god in your actions and thoughts, but be aware whether exalting your religion tangles up with looking down on others...that is when the much need humility comes in..hard to explain this grey area...

and i’m not blind enough to say that christianity is perfect or anything. trust me, it isn’t perfect, cause the people are screw ups. i’ve tasted that myself. but i’ve also figure out that it is the truth, and God really do love me, even if christians don’t. that’s my discovery. don’t believe if you don’t. if you can figure out a reason not to believe than believe, then don’t. shrugs

Nope. Its not the intention I am searching for. Basically I dont care whether you are faithful or just trying to be funny, I am more concerned what are the consequences of your actions and thoughts, which you have expressed directly. And yes, in my opinion, such action you display just now is really dumb. Think thru your mouth, not you arse, before you do or say anything.

exactly. its a grey area. which makes it hard to say who is right and who is wrong. i don't feel you are wrong, neither do i feel what i said was wrong. if i say that science has proven that earth is not million of years old, which has already been proven, all the scientists would come and say that i am putting them and their research down, and i'm insulting their work. so am i right or am i wrong when i speak this truth?

sometimes when truth is spoken. some people will get insulted. why do you think the 12 disciples of Jesus were sentenced horrible deaths?

i speak against my own church when i felt something was screwed, i've got my church leaders breathing down my neck for speaking something which might "stumble" some people. but i still chose to speak it. even if it makes christianity sound unpleasant. i am not bias to just speak the "Good" of stuff. how do you judge me for someone who "Blindly follows" some religion?

so u're really mindful of what you said? you're so sure that whatever you said is 100% right? have you judged my thoughts and character so well to say that i am dumb?

at least for myself, i only said that the Holy spirit is real, and even mediums don't meddle with Him. i didn't claim they are dumb or they are weak in character, or they are deformed or anything.

just because i don't speak for them doesn't mean i speak against them. like i said above. did i attack their character? did i say they are bad people, or cheats, or disabled or stupid? i simply did not speak for them, nor defended them. but i DID NOT speak against them. instead I SPOKE UP FOR God and pointed out the Holy Spirit. the focus WASN'T about me. the FOCUS WAS ON GOD.

don't tell me how to speak or how "not to insult others" when you can't do it yourself.

and i respect something about Neon. that he recognise the very basic dignity of humanity. that each human has rights and dignity. he apologised when he insulted others. which is pretty much more than i can say for certain others. Rolling Eyes
