Yup... this book
and the other three too (Angels and Demons, Digital Fortress and
Deception Point). Actually mostly quite crap.
I got Angels and Demons but still untouched. Weird leh, Vatican and
theoretical physics in the same story, dunno nice or not. (but Chin
Eng already gave me the answer)
Wah lau, Chinese version!!! Quite
commendable.
That time bo bian, want to read but all the English copies in the
libraries (even the school library!) loaned out or reserved.
The chinese translation sometimes can get you confused. They use
"Jiao4 Huang2, Zhu3 Jiao4, Jiao4 Zhu3", three similar looking
names, for pope, cardinal and bishop. Then hor, for the "Pope" clue
in the Isaac Newton puzzle, the chinese also write "jiao4 zhu3" ..
wah lao, like that forever cannot guess siah, as if the person in
question really is ya3 li4 shan1 da4 jiao4 zhu3!
Ending of Da Vinci Code? OK lah. Understand it perfectly
while he left it rather open ended.
I re-read the back chapters yesterday for the English version. Now
I understand the story better. While Dan Brown wrote that Opus Dei
and the Vatican are innocent, I still can't figure out who caused
the car accident.
By the way, the body really buried under the thing at the end
issit? Haha ...
Even Louis Cha (or Jing Yong) uses Chinese history to link
up his heros to the stories. Recently admitted that there are
factual errors in his stories, so he's rewriting some of
them.
As least Jin Yong don't tout his work as some proper historical
research, that's what gotten some Christians upset.
