Christian Hypocrites

Men would always be hypocrites no matter whether they are believers or non-believers. In the charismatic church I went last time, I once had the infamous XXXX family members sitting beside me. They answered enthusiastically to every 'AMEN' and 'Hallelujah' the pastor asked for.

My gf is leaving the church with me to a denominational church. However,
there is once my gf told me that, even if we were to leave her Charismatic Church, all she would lose would be 'earthly blessings' (WHAT???) I have asked her what she meant by 'earthly blessings', and she rephrased it by saying 'positive outlook'. I told her that no matter which church we go, we just need to have faith that GOD will provide for us, not Pastor XXX.

My gf was initially from a denominational church and she is a devout christian. But I think the problem with her is that she believed strongly in those prosperity and hope messages preached in the charismatic church. She claimed that what the denominational churchs preached did not tell her abt the grace message of our Lord. I think she is seriously brain-washed. We are reading the bible more each day. Hope she will one day realise that a lot of things she had believed before were unbiblical.

Basically I find this statment very sickening, disgusting and unbecoming of some hypocritical Christians.

I see God as the 'president' of my life. The basis of my faith is to love God with all my heart, soul and mind and also to love people sincerely.

I do not focus on any speaker. I just greatly respect leaders, pastors, etc who are 'appointed' by God. Church is the gate of heaven. It has got to be clean, tidy, excellent and beautiful. I can't imagine going into a dark, shabby, sloppy, dirty place to worship God.

hmm, its abit complicated la. what does it mean to be follower of christ

i'm a christian, and i go to play pool in places where there are alot of smokers and gangsters hang out. its cheap there.

and i like going to pub, drink abit etc

to some people who are more "holy" they see it as wrong, i should spend my time doing more "beneficial" things, like spending 24/7 reading bible.

so how? there are some people who feel wearing casual to church is a sin as its not giving our best to God. so how?

its impossible to please everyone la, who calls u a hypocrite as long as you do not meet their standard of "holiness"

so to me, i just prefer to go by faith when i do things, as long as my conscience is clean, i'm fine with it. obviously when i sin, i will know its a sin, and i will confess it.. tts the best i can do

if christ were to even revive, ppl will still doubt him for a fake. the same old shit (the questioning, the accusation etc )will still happen again. most religion need their gods more for as a idol, a person for them to focus all their prayers to and follow. if they revive, how many ppl can stick to what they say, live as what they say? (they = christ, Buddha, Allah etc )

thats why, i say its hard to just say alot of christians hypocrites. cuz u are comparing them with your own standards of holiness, how you feel things should be done, etc etc.

The Weak and the Strong

Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. we must also not forget our actions are always being scrutinised. sometimes if our actions causes others to stumble, then we should refrain from it.
