Last time although no sure if it apply now, in navy be it you
are regular or NSF, if you don't pass your IPPT and you happened to
have sailing where your can travel overseas after exercise, you
will not be allowed for shore-leave until you pass your IPPT, so
enjoyed your stay on board ship while your peers can travel around.
That is if you sign on and are not fit enough. Although now IPPT
should be 'easy' to pass with no chin-up bar.
