Hello, I recently got upgraded to PES B2, so must required to take IPPT.

Are the monetary incentives open/ applicable to PES B2 NSman reservists as well?

The annual IPPT is applicable to all PES A, B/B1, B2/C1 NSmen and DXO with NS liability, till age 45 and 40 years old for Officers and WOSPEC respectively. The NSman's IPPT annual requirement commences on his birthday immediately after his NSF Operational Ready Date (ORD) and ends when he is posted to MINDEF Reserves (MR), or medically downgraded to PES C2 and below.

What are my IPPT incentives?
The quantum for the IPPT monetary incentives has been enhanced. The revised quantum is applicable to NSmen with birthday windows starting from 1 Sep 2014. For example, if your birthday window starts on 1 Sep 2014, you will be eligible for $500 if you attain Gold award. However, if your birthday window starts on 31 Aug, you will still be subjected to the old system, and you will receive $400 if you attain Gold, even if you take the IPPT after 1 Sep.

If you are a Category X to Z and Z1 to Z2/V NSman and you attempt the full IPPT of 5 test stations and the 3-station IPPT respectively in one sitting, and attain the required standards, you are eligible for the IPPT incentive.

You are allowed unlimited attempts to qualify for the award within the same IPPT window. NSmen will be paid the incremental difference when they improve on their current standard. To illustrate, an NSman who was paid $200 after achieving the Incentive award, will be paid the difference of $100 if he is able to achieve a Silver Award in his next test.

Since all IPPT, RT and IPT are regarded as SAF training activities, you will also be entitled to Service and Make-Up Pay. Payments include:

Q1 What are the IPPT standards that I have to achieve to pass?

Please also take note that you are only entitled to ONE GOLD award per IPPT qualifying window, based on the birthday to birthday system.

Q2 Will I qualify for monetary award if I attempted more than 3 self-initiated IPPTs conducted at FCC?
Yes. The same incentive scheme applies for all your IPPT attempts. Should you improve on your result to the next award level, you will be eligible for the incremental difference between the awards you have achieved. For example, if you have failed the IPPT on the third attempt but have achieved an incentive pass ($100) at the fourth attempt, a silver standard ($200) at the fifth attempt, you will be awarded $100 on your fourth attempt; and another $100 on your fifth attempt ($200 minus the $100 received previously). However, please take note that you are only entitled to one GOLD award per qualifying window.
