u dun get hypo unless u r on meds my metformin dose is not high so it don't affect much. even if i don't get hypo i still can't get Combat Fit Pes right?

i am no medical expert, so i pose you this question:

If you so call stuck in some unknown territory, without ration, or med especially your "sweet" and comms dont seems to be able to get thorugh... will you be in trouble, how many days you can go in this situation?

It happen to me as a so called "combat fit" serviceman.

I applaud that you have good mindset about serving in combat vocation.. but your health is also important.

i know what u meant. consult doctor about my condition then decide want upgrade pes chiong sua or dont. but im askng u guys to give advice wether i should risk or not. if they give me pes E i still can upgrade Pes? coz my friend told me that pes that is given coz of certain sickness cant upgrade pes thats why i say is MO decision to let me upgrade anot is it?

Short answer: no.

Long answer: not for you to decide, but since diabetes is a lifelong condition.... probably no.

Smart answer: It's out of your hands, so why even bother thinking about it?

I don't know. No one knows. Depends on how long it takes for the doctors to decide.

They said they will send me the Summary of Status (SMS) as in final Pes Status through mail. Will my posting result come with the SMS? One of my friend that is in NS he said that both of them will come. He was Pes D too.

Your friend has already answered your question.

What will my Pes be? I do not get Hypo’s during exercises even after 5hours.But i don’t have any memo from doctor to declare that i won’t get Hypo during exercises.

I don't know, no one knows. Leave this to the doctors to decide.

And FYI, I have gotten hypoglycaemia a few times after spending several days straight on outfield mission, and I'm not even diabetic. At one point my MO had to run to a ninja van to get a Coke for me when I was starting to faint. 5 hours of PT is hardly a good indicator of your survivability in the jungle.

You know, people are just saying that no one really has the answers to everything that you're asking. Even if there's an MO in here, he may not even be able to tell you without going through your medical files properly first.

We're basically telling you: you can't do anything about your situation, so why even think about all this stuff? Once you have given your files to the medical board, there's really nothing you can do but wait. Maybe you'll get their decision tomorrow, maybe you'll get their decision next week, maybe you have to wait a few months. No one knows.

And even if you want to somehow upgrade your PES later, seriously, what can you do? All you can do is to submit your files again to the medical board and wait for their decision.

That is the hard truth, whether you like it or not.

If you want to behave the way you posted at 1700 hrs today in this thread, then you're looking at a long and hard two years ahead of you.

im not being angry im just telling u guys if u guys dont want to answer my questions its fine. im really not looking for trouble. im just being honest to prevent further troubles. and to prevent unwanted scoldings and quarrels.

I don't know why TS wanna chiong, firstly your health is in danger, you think the government care for you when you need to go hospital? Genna diabetes you're looking at paying a few hundred dollars of medication after subsidised for the drugs... Secondly, you chiong for? Singapore not having a war and what you're chiong-ing for? I think if you're chiong-ing to the benefit of the greater good (eg. save people lives, improve other people lives), then by all means go chiong, erm, are you?

i know its somehow impossible but not 100% impossible. if there's a chance. just a glance of hope. i won't give up. When i'm young my dream is to be a part of uniformed services. (spf,cnb,scdf,army combat,medic.) but they all have requirements. So i won't give up so soon. i know its impossible for me to choose. But i just don't want to give up so easily its my dream since young. This is life perhaps? We won't ever get what we want. And others got what we want but they don't like that certain thing we want.

Starting i was only interested to be part of SPF/CNB. but after my doctor told me that i was diagnosed with diabetes. i started to put my target further and wider. so any other uniformed services even the lowest status types Cisco/Aetos im willing to accept. if really can't join any of so many of them. Accept Fate. im willing to die for my dreams. die happy and proud rather than die with regrets. Even just awhile inside the uniformed services. Few months. Few weeks before i die on duty. i rather die on duty than die at hospital bed.
