IPPT/RT: Late 10mins due to Work. Asked to Come Another Day!

I am working in on a rotation basis in a security firm and my damn colleague took over my shift late. I could not leave my workplace until someone comes to replace my shift. That damn guy was late and hence, I left my workplace late!

As a result, I reported for my RT session at 6.40pm and was promptly turned away by the RP at Maju FCC. I understand that the cut-off time for RT is 6.30pm. I tried explaining to the RP that I was held up at work but he said there was nothing he could do!

What will happen if my NS Portal indicates I am absent for this session? I am kind of worry!

You will be recorded as absent.

Get your company to explain, and you should have got the RP to record your presence at the gate.

It is very hard to prove your case.

Go for the next session and dun get stressed over it.

Why didn't you apply leave on that day to avoid non-sense from your colleagues ? Even an half-day leave should be enough for you to make it in Maju. Do you know that although the IPPT offical starting time is 5 pm, some power ones already turn up as early as 4 pm plus so that they finished fast, go home as faster, no one expect those working one of course would come after 6 pm cos they know if they are unlucky, e.g due to jokers who take their own sweet time to complete 2.4 km, they might even go home at 9 p.m or later.That why I also take leave for IPPT session.
